I hereby bring my non-Danish speaking friends a quick update in English (Stéphanie, los esfuerzos que hago por tí). If you wish to read it in Danish - change the language on your right side - and you will be able to enjoy a truly entertaining post this time around. Some expressions can simply not be learned nor understood using technology - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have a go at it! Haha.
Alright, the update. As you most likely know I have now been in the lovely city of Buenos Aires for one month already. Only one month remaining and I feel quite stressed with the things I wish to do and places to go to, but haven't, because I've been thinking that two months would be plenty of time to get to know a city, right? Parisian friend, I know you are laughing right now!
Everything is going well at the community center where I work, last week we held a meeting to get more focused about the functionality and general wishes for the webpage/blog I am helping them create, and this week we will be taking photos to post online and hopefully collect small presentations of the guests who come to the radio show on a regular basis. Furthermore, I am slowly starting to think about how best to hand over the project, since it is important if they are to benefit in the future from my work at the radio station. Some things just take longer with the language barrier.
The show is by the way broadcasted each Monday-Friday at 5pm-7pm (GMT -3) at www.fmriachuelo.com.ar. Listen to it if you understand Spanish - I might even talk on the show which I already did once, but will be doing again at least one more time before I leave.
What else am I doing here?
I am now quite busy with writing up my résumé and finding possible internships around the world. Most of the ones I find interesting seem to have deadlines in mid-September which means that as for now I have little time to spare to go out and enjoy the sun and the spring and the happiness I see in the streets after the weather finally changed to something warmer and less rainy. I guess I should have realized earlier on that deadlines would be around now - but that's always how it is with new experiences, you never know what's coming. Which is exactly why we should try to do something new each day! So I am currently looking to go to Spain, Latinamerica, North America or Australia. Should you be in possesion of valuable insight, have heard of a great internship somewhere, know someone or something that might come in handy - I'd be delighted to receive help.
Moreover, my lectures started back at home this week. Deciding to study at a distance will hopefully turn into the best decision ever made - or I'll die trying. I'm sure my teachers will understand.
As you see. Life can be just as serious in Buenos Aires as in Copenhagen. I am still in the process of realizing that fact, but as already written, the pressure is on! Will be a busy couple of weeks.
Un beso a todos <3
